Zack's Repairs

Client Overview

Industry: Heavy Plant & Machinery Repairs Platform: WordPress (moved from Wix) Package: Essential Website Timeline: Launched November 2025

Introduction

Zack’s Repairs is run by Zack, an independent mechanic based in Newport Pagnell, just outside Milton Keynes. He is primarily a JCB and heavy plant mechanic, but he can work on pretty much anything with an engine, from cars and vans to HGVs. He offers a mobile service, going out to site to repair and maintain plant and machinery so it is back working with as little downtime as possible.

The Challenge

Zack’s original website was a Wix site that focused mainly on car and van repairs. Over time it stopped matching the business. His car and van work comes mainly through word of mouth, so the website wasn’t really needed to bring that in, while the heavy plant side of his work barely featured. Rather than try to rework the old site, Zack wanted a fresh website built around JCB and plant repairs.

Our Solution

Our Essential Website package was the right fit: an affordable, fully responsive WordPress website that Zack owns and can grow. Rather than designing from scratch, we started from a well-built construction theme and worked with it, adapting the layout, colours, images and content to suit his business. That kept the cost down while giving him a bold, professional look that speaks straight to plant operators and site managers.

Implementation Process

We moved Zack’s Repairs from Wix to WordPress, with home, about us, services and contact pages. The homepage leads with heavy plant and machine repairs, covering hydraulic systems, engine overhauls, transmission repairs, electrical diagnostics, preventive maintenance and breakdown recovery, and his phone number sits at the top of every page so a site manager can call him straight away. Once the new website was ready, we closed down the Wix site and pointed his existing domain, zacksrepairs.co.uk, at the new website, so his customers could still find him at the same address. Zack is also our neighbour and one of the best mechanics we know. Kevin has spent plenty of time in his workshop helping on his projects, including rebuilding two M5 engines, so it was a pleasure to build a website that shows what he does best.
